National labs receive $36M for net-zero building research

Net-zero building researchers have found a benefactor in the federal government. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act included $20.2 million for Oak Ridge National Laboratory and $15.9 million for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Both grants are earmarked for the expansion or construction of facilities where researchers can study components of net-zero construction.
