Flu season waning in U.S.

CDC officials announced on Friday that flu activity dropped in most parts of the country during the week ending March 2, with 46 states reporting low to minimal activity and four states experiencing moderate activity. As of last week, 87 children had died because of the flu, and a little more than half of hospitalizations involved people 65 and older.
