Netflix closed its third-party developers program last week by ceasing to offer application programming interface keys, though it will continue to support existing applications for the time being, writes Frederic Lardinois. Netflix said in a blog post that the changes "are designed to allow us to focus our API efforts on supporting the products and features used most by our members."
