AAFP outlines sequestration cuts affecting primary care

Medicare payments for primary care physicians will be cut by 2% starting in April because of sequestration, and graduate medical education programs also will face cuts of 2%, according to the AAFP. The Academy said funding for other primary care programs will be cut by 5% or more, including the National Health Service Corps.
