EC says timeline to mark risky drugs is practical

The European Commission says it is giving companies ample time to avoid supply disruptions while they identify certain high-risk drugs with a mandatory inverted black triangle. In general, drug companies have nine months to implement the new labeling requirements for currently marketed products, although the EC will allow more time in individual cases. Existing inventory does not need to be re-labeled.
