How technology has affected student learning

Research appears mixed on whether technology is affecting students' ability to concentrate and learn in the United Kingdom and elsewhere. However, many -- including Darren Northcott, national official for education at the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers -- have found benefits of using technology in the classroom. At one school in England, Ted-Ed videos and social media are used to engage students, and educators use the Internet to aid student research.
