Nielsen: 5 million U.S. homes are going without pay TV

More than 5 million households in the U.S. don't have a pay-television service, compared with 3 million in 2007, according to Nielsen. These "Zero TV households" represent 5% of all U.S. viewers, the market research firm reports. Such households typically stream video from the Internet to computers, smartphones and tablets, Nielsen notes.
