Yappem debuts social network for brand fans with Big Mac promotion

McDonald's has partnered with startup Yappem to promote the Big Mac through Yappem's recently launched social network, which is built around rewarding consumers for talking about their brand experiences with others. Yappem employees handed out coupons for Big Macs at the South by Southwest interactive festival with a message encouraging users to post their thoughts about the sandwich in exchange for Yappem coins, which are redeemable for gift certificates.
