Commentary: 401(k) plans grow more popular, more generous

Roth 401(k) plans are still a fairly rare option for retirement planning. But a new survey shows the number of companies offering the no-income-ceiling plans is expected to rise. And traditional 401(k) plans are becoming better deals for investors, according to another study, which shows that 36% of companies now offer a 100% match -- up from 26% in 2002.
