Spanish retail development shows no signs of waning

Spanish retail development continues to grow even as a global economic slowdown drags on. Spain's economy has recorded rises in both consumer spending and gross-domestic-product growth, which has attracted luxury stores such as France's Louis Vuitton and U.K. retailer Burberry. Spain has 235.8 square meters of retail space per 1,000 inhabitants, one of the highest rates of shopping-center space per capita in Europe.
