Study explores diet-colorectal cancer link

A study linking colon cancer to a high-fat Western diet found that in cancer patients genetic switches that play a role in breaking down carbohydrates, lipids and amino acids are retrained to produce insulin. Temple University researchers said cancer cells feed on insulin, which can foster tumor growth.
