ASDA may make a bid to buy HMV

Wal-Mart-owned supermarket chain ASDA is reportedly considering a bid to buy music and movie retailer HMV, which has marked 103 of its 223 stores for closure since entering administration in January. Rival Morrisons has already claimed six of the closed stores to expand its convenience store chain, but sources say ASDA is interested in HMV as a separate brand.
