Calif. brewing company to start hand-bottling beer

California-based Strand Brewing will release its craft brews in 500-milliliter bottles at Whole Foods and other retailers in a few weeks. The company's 24th Street Pale Ale, Atticus IPA, Beach House Amber Ale and Second Sleep Imperial Stout will be the first brews available in the bottles, which founder Richard Marcello said he prefers to 22-ounce "bombers" because they contain enough to share but not too much to finish alone.
