OVDs get stay on sharing rate details with Comcast, FCC says

Over-the-top video distributors can keep the details of their other contracts confidential when seeking to air programming controlled by Comcast-NBCUniversal, according to a temporary decision by the Federal Communications Commission's Media Bureau. The FCC is revisiting this "benchmark" issue that's part of the Comcast-NBCU merger. Comcast has told the FCC it would likely have to resort to "costly and otherwise unnecessary arbitration" if it didn't have access to the information, John Eggerton writes.
