Sequestration brings changes to college financial-aid offices

College administrators overseeing financial-aid packages for prospective students are facing tough decisions in the face of sequestration, which triggered a number of cuts to higher education. The federal Pell Grant program remains untouched until the 2014-15 school year, however other programs, such as Federal Work-Study, will be subject to a 5% reduction. "We're hoping to send out awards this week, and before we hit the switch, we're going to have to make a decision," said Pamela Fowler of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. "You can make fewer awards or you can cut the amount of the award. Which do you do?"
