Study: Computerized discharge system enhances patient care

A study presented at the American College of Cardiology meeting showed that adopting an electronic discharge system significantly enhanced providers' adherence to quality care standards and reduced readmission rates of heart failure patients. "The tool was designed by our most skilled cardiovascular practitioners to mirror the workflow of the physician and provide evidence-based decision support for cardiovascular care," said lead investigator Jose G. Benuzillo.
