CDC awards $38M in contracts to develop data-sharing operations

Three organizations have been awarded contracts by the CDC in an effort to create data-sharing operations for HIEs. A director at the CDC said developing this ability "will create seamless integration of public health and bioterrorism surveillance with health care functions, decreasing the amount of time it takes to receive important information about population health."
