Geena Davis calls for empowerment, "next women’s movement"

Academy Award-winning actor Geena Davis spoke about the need for change in the way women are portrayed in the media as well as humanitarian planning as part of a Global Washington forum on women and girls. Davis drew attention to the importance of including women and girls in development efforts around the world, and called for a 21st-century resurgence of the women’s movement to promote empowerment.
