DIRECTV deal with LodgeNet includes NFL content in hotels

DIRECTV's expanded partnership agreement with LodgeNet will allow the hotel TV distributor to deliver the NFL Sunday Ticket package to its customers. The deal is part of Colony Capital's purchase of the bankrupt LodgeNet, which is expected to close by the end of March. LodgeNet said last week that its DIRECTV deal -- which the companies agreed upon in December -- will expand the content it can offer hotels and provide financing for its hospitality and health care clients.
