Forecasting group expects good planting weather this spring

Winter storms are bringing much-needed moisture to major cropping areas hit by last year's massive drought, brightening the prospects for spring planting, according to AccuWeather. "Overall, less long-lasting, extreme heat is forecast from the Mississippi Valley to the East during most of the spring and summer," the group said.
