Gaming revenue grows 39%, even as social gaming matures

Digital gaming revenue rose from $691 million to $960 million in January, a 39% year-over-year increase, SuperData Research says. The data set includes mobile, social and free online games, and downloadable PC and console games. Mobile gaming shows the most impressive growth, while social gaming has hit "a level of maturity, and therefore the numbers for monthly unique users are falling," eMarketer reports.
