PKF forecasts steady growth for hotel industry this year

PKF Hospitality Research has released its March 2013 Hotel Horizons report, which forecasts increases in hotels' earnings this year. Revenue per available room is expected to rise 6.1%, while net operating income is forecast to grow by 10.2%. "The uncertainty and fear generated by Congress' handling of the fiscal cliff and sequester may have tempered the pace of economic growth, but it has not completely shut down the growth in demand for lodging accommodations," said PKF Hospitality Research President R. Mark Woodworth.
