Temporary laboratories open for Scripps Florida Institute

The institute opened laboratories in a 40,000-square-foot building at Florida Atlantic University to serve for research until Scripps is able to build at its preferred site west of Palm Beach Gardens, where work has been delayed by environmental lawsuits. Officials also announced the first private gift toward building the permanent headquarters, which is supported by $137 million in public money.
