U.S. water, sewer infrastructure reaches breaking point

The nation's water and sewer infrastructure has aged to the breaking point. Every two minutes, a water line ruptures somewhere in the U.S., according to a New York Times analysis. Although Congress has dedicated $10 billion to repairing water infrastructure, the allocation is a fraction of what is needed to upgrade the systems, some of which were installed more than 100 years ago.
