Lufthansa eyes more Airbus planes to cut fuel costs

Lufthansa German Airlines will acquire 70 A320neo and A321neo planes from Airbus along with 30 more that are equipped with the current engine option. Additionally, it will purchase six Boeing 777-300ER and two more A380 jets. The company is in the midst of restructuring and seeking mostly fuel-efficient jets to trim expenses.
