Film festival to celebrate Geena Davis for gender equality work

Actor Geena Davis is the recipient of the first Impact Award to be given at the 13th annual Sarasota Film Festival for her work in promoting gender equality in the entertainment industry. "Geena Davis has a fabulous and long-honored history in film, as everyone is aware," said Mark Famiglio, SFF executive board president. "[S]he also has a special interest in gender issues as they relate to film hiring and acting roles."
