Tourist spending in N.J. climbs 7%

Tourist spending contributed $38 million to New Jersey's economy in 2011, rising 7% from the previous year, state Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno has announced. The number of visitors rose 14.6% last year, to about 80 million, with out-of-state visitors contributing 64% of all tourism revenue during the period.
