Paragliders challenge mining company to save launch spot

Point of the Mountain in Utah is to paragliders, what Oshkosh is to general aviation: an ideal place -- due to topography and natural windflow -- to practice their sport, attracting gliders from around the world. Ten days ago, the Geneva Rock mining company began strip-mining the gravel off the mountain, already significantly changing its shape. A petition is being organized to stop the mining company.
