Some Miss. teachers devote spring break to tutoring program

A group of about a dozen teachers in Mississippi are using spring break to help high-school students prepare for standardized testing in U.S. history, biology, algebra and English -- all of which they are required to pass to graduate. The spring-break tutoring sessions, supported by the local United Way and the Jackson Hinds Library System, are being held for the first time with the goal of helping students improve their chances of graduating.
