Politician argues against privatizing U.K.'s blood service

British politician Jim Dobbin said privatizing part of the National Blood Service would discourage people from donating blood because they might dislike the idea of contracted private firms making profits from their donations. Dobbin said New Zealand saw a decrease in its number of donations when it privatized its blood service.
