U.S. works with EU on regulating swaps markets

Financial regulators in the U.S. and the EU said they are coordinating efforts to regulate swaps markets. However, regulators are running into areas that need clarification, including jurisdictional questions on cross-border trades. "We have to be very clear on when you are captured and when you are not captured by the law," said Jill Sommers, a member of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
