A4A is working with FAA to minimize effects of tower closures

Airport officials say closing air-traffic control towers would affect safety, but Airlines for America said it's too soon to draw conclusions. "It's premature to discuss flight cancellations, as the earliest any furloughs would occur is April 7," said Katie Connell, spokeswoman for A4A. "We are working with the FAA to minimize any impact to passengers and shippers."
