Medicaid payments are a serious problem for pediatricians

Pediatricians say it is difficult to find specialists to help children on Medicaid because many aren't taking new patients due to low reimbursement rates. AAP President Dr. Judith Palfrey said the difference in payment rates between Medicare and Medicaid is a "really serious issue" for pediatricians.
