Newspapers are split over video content

The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times are taking two approaches to video. The Journal is plunging in on more than 15 platforms with hours of daily content, while the Times has just two short daily offerings. However, evidence suggests that regular videos don't draw much traffic, while exceptional content -- such as an exclusive interview -- can go viral.
