Boeing tightens standard for 787

Boeing has decided to use the tougher Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics standard for testing its 787 batteries. Boeing spokesman Marc Birtel said the aircraft manufacturer did not use the standard before because it was developed "after we had completed our certification plans and begun our testing efforts."
