Cisco: We can do better in supporting women in IT

Cisco CEO John Chambers says managers need to find ways to help women advance and succeed in IT. The move follows a discussion with Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg, Chambers says. "While I have always considered myself sensitive to and effective on gender issues in the workplace, my eyes were opened in new ways and I feel a renewed sense of urgency to make the progress," Chambers wrote in an internal e-mail.
