Does the PlayBook tablet have a future at BlackBerry?

There are conflicting reports on whether BlackBerry plans to continue or expand its PlayBook line of tablet computers, according to this blog post. BlackBerry's Mike Al Mefleh said at a conference in Dubai that a new PlayBook model will be introduced this year. CEO Thorsten Heins, however, told the Australian Financial Review, "The business case for taking a plunge back into the tablet market was not compelling," adding, "I wouldn't want to do it the same way again, if I do something around tablets, I want it to be substantial and meaningful, and quite frankly it would need to be profitable as well."
