Lawmakers propose plan to keep air-traffic control towers open

A bipartisan group of senators has introduced a plan to limit the number of air-traffic control towers closed by the Federal Aviation Administration. The legislation would shift $50 million from FAA research and capital funds to the budget for the towers.
