Microsoft pulls the plug on Flash whitelist strategy

Microsoft is backtracking on its Flash whitelist, which allowed only preapproved sites to deploy Flash on Windows 8 and RT. Instead, the tech giant will create a Flash blacklist, allowing most new sites to use Flash by default. "[I]t seems that Microsoft is betting that the technology has a future of some kind," writes Ben Moss.
