Raw sea sand in concrete halts construction in Shenzhen, China

Suspect concrete used in building projects in Shenzhen in southern China has halted much construction there while an investigation is under way. So far, investigators have found that "15 of the 92 concrete-mixing plants in Shenzhen used untreated sea sand as a raw material in concrete." Four companies that mix concrete have been accused of engaging in the process.
