Rising parental concerns deter HPV vaccination for teens

The number of U.S. parents concerned about the safety of the human papillomavirus vaccine rose from 4.5% in 2008 to 16.4% in 2010, while the number of parents who said they would not vaccinate their children increased from 39.8% to 43.9%. The findings were published in the journal Pediatrics.
