Settlement reached in antitrust suit over law school prep materials

A proposed $9.5 million settlement has been reached in a case against West Publishing and Kaplan, who plaintiffs say attempted to monopolize the market for BAR/BRI bar review preparatory materials. A previous settlement was rejected by U.S. District Judge Manuel Real, who has scheduled a hearing on the new settlement for April 15.
