Nearly two-thirds of mobile users prefer visiting a retailer's website to downloading an application, a study by Siteworx said. Looking back to the holidays, only 3.4% of mobile users said they made purchases on their devices, while the equivalent number for tablets was 4%. The most popular shopping activity on mobile, however, was researching product reviews, which ranked just ahead of price comparisons.
