Take control by getting rid of the word "balance"

The word "balance" should never come up when discussing the best way to meet the demands of work and family, Laura Vanderkam writes. "No one says they're unbalanced because they're not working enough, which means that achieving 'balance' must mean working less. Holding that out as desirable is problematic," she writes.
