Tech entrepreneurs warn of domestic fallout from H-1B visas

Lawmakers recently heard from dissenters on the H-1B visa program for skilled foreign workers, including arguments that the program promotes offshoring and hurts efforts to strengthen the domestic IT industry. Among those testifying at a closed-door meeting called by Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., was Brian Keane, whose Louisiana-based company Ameritas Technologies trains college graduates in programming skills.
