Williams will tap Canadian oil sands propane to make propylene

Williams will build an $879 million propane dehydrogenation plant in Alberta, Canada, to manufacture polymer-grade propylene from Canadian oil sands propane. The facility "will expand market opportunities for Canada, feed the demands of North America's growing petrochemical industry and allow for creation of a new value chain in Alberta," said Williams Energy Canada President David Chappell.
