All Finns to get electronic health records

Finland has awarded Massachusetts-based EMC Corp. a contract to build a centralized patient-records system that will provide EHRs to all 5.3 million Finns. The contract, estimated at $31.5 million, will serve 300,000 health care providers, provide e-prescribing capabilities and offer image archiving.
