Duke University lands $10.2 million donation for cell-therapy center

Duke University has received a donation of $10.2 million to establish a center that will push for cell-therapy studies and treatments for diseases such as cancer and cerebral palsy. The Translational Cell Therapy Center will focus on research that looks into the potential benefits of umbilical cord blood stem cells to pediatric patients with gene-related brain defects.
