Follow rules for smoking differentials, wellness expert says

Companies can use health insurance premium differentials to reward employees who do not smoke as long as they follow federal guidelines on fairness and alternatives in wellness programs, says Amy Gallagher of the Cornerstone Group. She says that there are several ways to define nonsmokers and that companies should provide smoking-cessation programs to support employees who want to quit.
