Don't wait to find out if there's a market for your idea

It's tempting to protect your business idea by hiding it from the world before you launch your startup, but this is a risky strategy, Eric Wagner writes. "You have to find out if anyone else (namely your targeted customer segment) cares about your idea. And the sooner the better," he writes. Otherwise, you might spend a lot of time and money to develop your idea only to discover that nobody is interested.
